Marlboro G-40R

This Marlboro Sound-Works solid state combo amplifier seems to be made in cooperation with Hohner International; German
company (best known for their harmonicas and accordions) which still makes musical instruments nowadays. I don't know how Marlboro and Hohner were connected, but there seem to be quite a few of these out there. The Marlboro badge is different from the classic one and there is also a ''Hohner International'' badge at the bottom of the cabinet. But the writing on the back sticker, the speaker and front control plate says ''Made in U.S.A.''.

I would like to thank Thomas, who sent me these lovely pictures.
They are clickable so the  amplifier can be seen in full detail!

Specifications:

GREAT SOUND IN ITS PLACE

Quite some time ago, as i searhed the internet for Marlboro related articles, i stumbled upon a magazine advertisement from the company's glory era. I later discovered that there are more of them available on ebay! They include some witty slogans and some information on specific amplifier and speaker models. If you are a collector or simply interested in a piece of amplifier history, you can buy the original ones here.
