GREAT SOUND IN ITS PLACE

Quite some time ago, as i searhed the internet for Marlboro related articles, i stumbled upon a magazine advertisement from the company's glory era. I later discovered that there are more of them available on ebay! They include some witty slogans and some information on specific amplifier and speaker models. If you are a collector or simply interested in a piece of amplifier history, you can buy the original ones here.

FIRST PIC!

1500B Head + 1x15'' box. This is the Marlboro I own and love the most.  It's a mean ''little'' amp with a nice vintage vibe to it. It doesn't sound awesome, but for its age and the fact that it's a solid state amp, it packs a decent ammount of soul.  For me, its best application is in the stoner/doom heavy  stuff with the combination of distortion and fuzz pedals.  The head also works great with a 4x12'' box and is really quite loud. My version is labeled  at 100W, but some are labeled  at 80W. I've tried the 80W version too and it's also pretty loud. It can easily handle small club gigs with a 2x12'' or 4x12'' speaker box.

More to follow shortly!
